ALYSSA (VOICEOVER): In Episode 407, Yennefer arrives in Nilfgaard looking for Ciri and discovers Teryn instead. Teryn tells Emhyr that Yennefer offered her an escape, but she stays, pledging herself to the White Flame. Fearing for his life, Skellen argues that Ithlinne's prophecy cannot resolve while Ciri remains both Emhyr’s and Geralt's child of destiny, convincing the emperor to have Geralt killed.

Geralt's hanza sets out to cross the Yaruga. Milva announces she's pregnant. While she originally plans to leave, the others weigh in. In a swamp, Cahir asks Geralt if Ciri is still the child he swore to protect. Geralt hears voices, then Zoltan, Yarpen, Percival, Cahir, and Jaskier are taken. Regis quietly gives Milva an elixir to end her pregnancy. Geralt nearly dies chasing a vision of Ciri and Yennefer until this remaining companions save him, then are taken themselves. Alone, he finds a rusalka and her child in the center of the swamp, answers her riddle, and frees the company.

At camp, Zoltan and Percival gift Geralt his sword. Yarpen and Percival announce they're leaving for Mahakam. In a private moment, Milva tells Geralt she feels less like a warrior now, and more an ordinary woman with her pregnancy. Geralt admits that his family with Ciri and Yennefer changed him too. Yennefer portals into the forest. She shares that Vilgefortz escaped Montecalvo and that Nilfgaard's Ciri is a fake. In their tent, Geralt describes a dream of growing old with her and Ciri. The next morning, Regis proposes seeking the druids of Caed Dhu at the coming equinox to find their daughter.

In the South, Hotspurn joins the Rats on their day off, warning that the Baron of Cassadei wants them dead and Bonhart is closing in. He leaves them one lead: Bonhart is waiting in the town of Jealousy. When Ciri learns of Emhyr's engagement to the false Lion Cub of Cintra and that the Rats have been serving the Emperor, she turns on them and renounces Falka. Mistle chases her down, piecing together who she really is. Ciri later attacks Hotspurn to free a boy he'd captured for Emhyr. Beaten, he warns her Bonhart has laid a trap for the Rats in Jealousy, and she steals his horse to reach them.
